Accident Disability Insurance – Helps protect your income if you are disabled due to a covered accident outside of work.
Beginning November 1, 2022, The Black Car Fund has expanded Drivers Benefits to include Accident Disability coverage while outside of work. This benefit provides eligible, enrolled drivers with monthly payments, for up to a year if they are injured and become disabled due to a covered accident while NOT working – whether they are at home, at play, or even in-between fares!*
What’s Included in our Accident Disability Insurance?
- Direct Monthly Payments
- Receive up to $1,500 per month, up to 70% of your pre-disability net driving income, for up to a year (after 30 day elimination period), if you’re unable to work due to a covered accident.*
- Peace of Mind
- Helps you pay for essential living expenses so you can stay current on your utilities, rent, car payments, insurance, and more even though you cannot work.
Note: This benefit is distinct from the Workers Compensation benefit provided by The Black Car Fund which provides wage replacement and medical benefits to Covered Drivers if they are injured on the job and can also cover medical expenses, hospital fees, and medication costs related to an injury.
